Our Mini Bull Terrier story starts in 1999 when we decided it was time to expand the kennel with another breed. We already were very active in loving, grooming, showing, working and breeding American Staffordshire Terriers since 1988. We spent many afternoons reading magazines and books about pure and rare breeds. We always found ourselves attracted to the Bull Terrier but wanted a small breed. So we went to visit during some show’s the Miniature Bull Terrier at the show ring. Unfortunately only some times they were presented at the national/international shows. We became a member of the National Breed Club (M.B.T.V.) and visited their yearly Specialty. Their we saw some incredible beautiful and stable clowns. Specially a red and white, from Australia imported, male called Alfie (Ch. Amatol Red Alert) was our favourite. That was the beginning of our love for the breed.
We purchased a white female puppy in 2001 with roots back to the Amatol bloodlines. Her name is Ch. Dixies Bonnie Jo of Parastone’S “B.J.” and we do everything we can with her. During this time we became active in conformation shows throughout the Netherlands and Luxemburg where B.J. earned a lot of excellent qualifications, BOB’s, National- and World titles. She appeared to be a history maker.
After a while, in 2002, we purchased a
black adult female, Ch. Aswinta of the Dutch Bull’s Farm ‘Chimney’, traced back
to the Schardale Bloodlines, also Australian. She is a litter sister to the
already famous Merlin of the Dutch Bull’s Farm.
We felt that the time was right to start with a complete
breeding program. Because of this we needed more dogs. Paul visited Daniel
Meseguer-Bernal (Del Cornijal Kennels) in Spain. He had a beautiful litter out
of Ch. Aluegoaa Del Cornijal x Ch. Threeboys Personality Plus. A beautiful
brindle and white young female from this litter, Tinaak-Dharma Del Cornijal
‘Dharma’, seemed to be hold back for us. Now we needed just one more male and
female.
Paul purchased Schardale Midnite Star ‘Barney’, a black and brindle male, born in Australia at Joy Schafer’s Schardale Kennel. At the same time he purchased Amatol Wicked Willow ‘Cleo’, brindle and white female, also born in Australia at Paul and Kathy Berman’s Amatol Kennel. Both arrived in 2003. These dogs are the foundation of our breeding policy, dogs from the best breeders of the world, a foundation which we are very proud of.
Parastone’S Miniature Bull Terriers are hand-raised with great care, based upon the principle that a puppy raised with kindness and understanding will return your love ten-fold. They all live in the house - there are no kennel dogs here. All the dogs are loose together, eat, sleep and play together. There is no place for a bad temperament or unsound construction in the Parastone’S breeding program. We take great pride in breeding quality Miniature Bull Terriers. Bred for companion dog as for Conformation shows, the Parastone’S Mini’s are unsurpassed in sound temperament.
